This is a story I came across that reminded me of Nicole Clark's story, but with less deatils.
Karen Devine doused her SUV with a flammable liquid and set it on fire with her and her twelve year old son Michael inside. The bodies of Devine and her son, Michael, were discovered inside the burned out vehicle after firefighters extinguished the pre-dawn fire on August 19 at a gravel pit. Both died as a result of the fire.
The Devine deaths were ruled a murder suicide. Detectives say one factor in reaching their conclusion were four letters Karen Devine sent to family and friends. The letters, mailed on August 18, contained money, household budget information, and burial instructions for Michael.
