In July of 2011, Jerraco Noel noticed a bruise on Jayden’s face, the bruise covering half of his face. Noel made frantic calls to child protection services months before begging them to protect his son. DCS went to the home to investigate, but a case worker didn't find anything wrong. of Jayden’s mother Chelsea told case workers that her boyfriend, Ryan had thrown a toy into Jayden's crib, while he was in it this excuse was accept. Jayden was taken to the hospital, the Doctor noticed his ear was bruised and had discoloration also Jayden had a bruise on the side of his face as well as a cut lip. The Doctor questioned Ryan and Chelsea they told him the same story about the toy being thrown into the crib, the doctor also believed them.

Five months later, on January 18, 2012, one year old Jayden Nole was beaten to death by his mother and her boyfriend. Ryan and Chelsea called Police to say that they went in to wake Jayden up and he was not breathing. When police officers arrived they found Worline attempting to perform CPR on Jayden in the middle of the living room floor. Jayden’s injuries, which were extensive they were immediately apparent to the responding officers. Jayden had numerous bruises and abrasions all over his body, including on his shoulder, arms, legs, and back. There were several abrasions on Jayden’s head and he had a skull fracture. Jayden was pronounced dead on the scene.

Jayden died of repeated blunt force trauma to his head and it was determined that he had been beaten to death. In addition to the abrasions and injuries initially observed, Jayden had abrasions to his pelvic area. The abrasions to Jayden’s head were likely caused at the same time, but were distinct from Jayden’s skull fracture. The coroner estimated that Jayden had been dead for up to twelve hours before the 911 call, and could have lived from between four and twelve hours after the injuries were inflicted. Jayden had several hemorrhages in his eyes, surrounding his ocular nerves, and around the nerve roots in his neck. The coroner also found evidence of brain swelling and subdural hemorrhaging around the brain.
