Commited to the end of child abuse. . .
Honey Veus
Police responded to a 911 call about a baby girl who was not breathing and did not have a pulse. When they arrived, they found Veus performing CPR on his daughter. Veus claimed that he found Honey not breathing and unconscious. Honey was rushed to the hospital where she remained in a coma with bleeding on the brain, and injuries to her head, face and eye, until three days later when her little body gave out. Hospital staff immediately told authorities that they suspected Honey had been abused.
Veus initially told medical staff that Honey’s injuries occurred before he had just brought her home to the United States from the Philippines where the girl’s mother lives. Veus later told investigators that he has thoughts of harming his daughter and feels relieved when he causes her pain or discomfort. He said he has acted on these thoughts by pulling her hair, pushing her down, throwing her on a bed, forcing her to eat cinnamon, and burning her with a cigar. Veus stated that Honey became unresponsive after he threw her to the ground. He also claims to suffer from depression and schizophrenia and states he needs mental help.
There have been no trial dates set for Veus as of yet, but we will continue to follow the story and update you when new information is released.
