Na-aisha Riley punched her seven month old son, Cashmere with such force that it caused a hemorrhage in the brain. Riley confessed to punching her son. "I Shook the baby violently four times. I put the baby down. Then when the baby kept fussing, I picked him back up and punched him three times in the head, three times in the back and once on his side. While I was punching him, I was him holding by his jaw with my fingers under his nostrils. He had tears coming down and he just kept looking at me. After I punched him, I put him down and he made three little gasps. He stopped crying and I left. I left him on the bed alone "Na-aisha Riley - Taped Confession She was charged with second degree murder and assault.

Riley's boyfriend, Unique Jones said "she tried to make like it was me. Police told me at first she was blaming me. Then she confessed. It was like she wanted to kill me, too." Jones, a student at Lewis and Clark High School, said he reprimanded Riley over the Memorial Day weekend when "I saw her pop him in the head to keep him from crying.” I told her you think hitting him is going to stop him from crying. No, it's only going to make it worse," said Jones.

Jones, who is not the baby's father, said Riley, a security guard, dropped Cashmere off at his family's Williamsbridge home. She was there when he came home, he said, "but she wouldn't talk to me, she wouldn't even kiss me. She was in a rush to leave. He said he went upstairs and found the baby limp. "I picked him up and his head dangled. His lips and tongue were purple," he said.” I tried to give him CPR, but he wouldn't breathe," said the boyfriend's father, who didn't want to give his name. "I could find the heartbeat, but no other vitals. “It’s going to be with me the rest of my life," he said.
