Camryn the first baby born in the town of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in 2008 and was two and a half months old when he died March 25 at Akron Children's Hospital. Camryn suffered brain injuries from shaken baby syndrome.

 

Crystal Wilson returned home after attending an AA meeting and found Camryn in his baby swing. Camryn was gasping for air and he would not wake up. Crystal called Akron Children's Hospital and spoke to the on call doctor who told her to bring him in. She picked up Camryn and rushed him to the hospital. Camryn was in critical condition with bleeding inside of his head and in his eyes. His retinas were detached and he had some broken ribs. Camryn’s father Craig admitted that had shaken Camryn and squeezed him because he was frustrated and angry with his wife. Craig was arrested and charged with felonious assault and child endangerment.

After two weeks Crystal made the tough decision that it was time to remove her son from life support.

 

Craig would accept a deal and plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter. Craig Wilson was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 15 years and eight years for child endangering.
