I wish I could have found a least one photo of this little angel. Her life was cut so short, I don't know if there is any out there.

 

Apple Miranda live with her father David and her mother Eurize in a rundown building. Where David dreamed of becoming a rap artist, but was unemployed. The couple was having a hard time making ends meet and applied for welfare. The building's manager, who refused to give his name, said the family had not paid its rent for several months Residents in the building said 'He Was a Good Father'. One neighbor, who insisted on anonymity, said that Apple cried frequently and that loud noises often came from their apartment.

 

David contacted Eurize at work and told her that there was an "emergency" at home. Eurize returned home bundled Apple in a blanket and took her in a taxi to St. Luke's Roosevelt Medical Center where t month old Apple Miranda was pronounced dead. She had a fatal brain hemorrhage and broken ribs. Apple was pronounced dead 18 minutes after arriving to the hospital. Apple died of child abuse syndrome, in which a series of injuries in various stages of healing were compounded by the hemorrhage and swelling of her brain.

 

 David Miranda was charged with second-degree murder. Eurize Miranda Apple's mother who was at work at the time that the infant suffered the hemorrhage, was not charged in her death.
